This Cookie Policy explains how Trilot LLC ("Trilot") uses cookies and similar technologies on trilot.com (the "Site"). It is a companion to our Privacy Policy. Where this policy and the Privacy Policy overlap, the Privacy Policy governs.

i. what cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies allow the site to remember information about you (such as a preference, a login state, or that you've dismissed a banner) between page loads or visits. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" in this policy.

ii. cookies we use

Trilot uses a minimal set of cookies. Every cookie listed below has a stated purpose and a defined lifetime.

Strictly necessary

These cookies are essential for the Site to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking parts of the Site.

These cookies remember your preferences. They are not strictly necessary, but disabling them may make the Site less convenient.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It does not set any cookie. It records aggregated page-view counts and approximate regions of visitors via a small script that runs on each page. No individual identifier is created or stored.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any cross-site tracking analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.

iii. how to manage cookies

You have several options:

Browser settings. Every major browser lets you view, manage, or clear cookies. Search your browser's help for "cookies" — common steps:

Do-not-track signals. Most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" option. We respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable. We do not, however, currently change behavior based on the older DNT header, because there is no industry-wide standard for honoring it for cookieless analytics.

Clear cookies. Clearing cookies in your browser will remove the Trilot first-party cookies, which means we will treat you as a new visitor on your next session (you may see the newsletter banner again).

Block cookies entirely. If you block cookies, the strictly-necessary Cloudflare cookies will not be set, which may cause the bot-management system to challenge you more frequently before letting you submit forms.

iv. updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if our use of cookies changes (for example, if we add or remove a sub-processor). The "Effective date" at the top reflects the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the Site for thirty (30) days.
